Prime Trucking Services Africa Ltd a DP World company is seeking to hire a qualified and experienced Senior Mechanic

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities are:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in forklifts and trucks
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on all assigned equipment
• Perform advanced troubleshooting using diagnostic tools and software
• Inspect vehicles and equipment to identify faults before breakdowns occur
• Ensure all repairs are carried out in compliance with safety and manufacturer standards
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
• Supervise and guide junior mechanics where necessary
• Recommend improvements to maintenance processes and equipment reliability
• Ensure proper use of tools, parts, and workshop resources
• Collaborate with operations team to minimize downtime of fleet assets

Qualifications & Requirements

Main qualifications are:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• Professional certification in automotive/mechanical systems (added advantage)
• Minimum 5–8 years’ hands-on experience in forklift and heavy truck maintenance
• Strong experience in engine diagnostics, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and maintenance software
