The Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB) has the mandate to manage and promote social security in Rwanda. RSSB’s vision is to provide a comprehensive social security system that caters to the diverse social security needs of the population, RSSB plays an important role in realising Vision 2050 and the National Strategy for Transformation (NST1). RSSB manages six social security schemes, namely: Pension, Occupational Hazards, Medical scheme, CBHI, Maternity Leave Benefits and EjoHeza (Long-term Term Saving Scheme).;As a leading player in the financial sector, RSSB serves as the largest institutional investor in Rwanda. With assets under management amounting to 3 trillion Rwf , which is equivalent to over 15% of the country’s GDP, RSSB invests in key sectors of the economy and plays a crucial role in growing the country’s financial sector. Key Duties and Responsibilities
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare mood boards, color schemes, 3D renders, and material palettes.
- Produce detailed interior layouts and technical drawings.
- Review and evaluate interior design proposals submitted by external consultants and contractors.
- Ensure all interior designs comply with RSSB's quality standards, functional requirements, and brand identity.
- Provide technical feedback and improvement recommendations on designs for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Validate materials, finishes, FF&E selections, and ensure they align with project budgets and performance expectations.
- Assess design integration with architectural, MEP, and structural works for coherence.
- Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including working drawings, specifications.
- Develop technical specifications for materials, finishes, lighting, and furniture.
- Coordinate with procurement for material submittals and approvals.
- Conduct periodic site visits to monitor the execution of interior works.
- Ensure workmanship quality and adherence to approved designs and material specifications.
- Evaluate and approve shop drawings, mock-ups, and material samples during the execution phase.
- Prepare snag lists and follow up on rectifications prior to project handover.
- Coordinate with project architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of interior works.
- Represent RSSB in design coordination meetings and site reviews
- Present design concepts and review outcomes to RSSB Management and Steering Committees.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in interior design, with at least 3 years in reviewing and supervising large-scale interior fit-outs.
- Proven track record in both design creation and design review/validation for residential and commercial projects.
- Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture, lighting design, and detailing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3Ds Max, V-Ray, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience working with developers or public institutions on multi-disciplinary projects is preferred.
- Knowledge of green building principles and sustainable materials.
