About RSSB
The Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB)
has the mandate to manage and promote social security in Rwanda. RSSB's vision is to provide a comprehensive social security system that caters to the diverse social security needs of the population, RSSB plays an important role in realizing Vision 2050 and the National Strategy for Transformation (NST1). RSSB manages six social security schemes, namely: Pension, Occupational Hazards, Medical scheme, CBHI, Maternity Leave Benefits and EjoHeza (Long-term Term Saving Scheme).;As a leading player in the financial sector, RSSB serves as the largest institutional investor in Rwanda. With assets under management amounting to 3 trillion Rwf, which is equivalent to over 15% of the country's GDP, RSSB invests in key sectors of the economy and plays a crucial role in growing the country's financial sector. Key responsibilities
Key responsibilities are:
- Monitor cash inflows and outflows to ensure liquidity and proper fund management.
- Coordinate timely payment of all expenses in compliance with relevant laws, policies, and regulations.
- Prepare and submit periodic treasury reports to the Manager, Budget & Treasury.
- Monitor the daily situation of current accounts and fixed income securities in collaboration with the Investment function.
- Coordinate petty cash management across the institution and ensure accuracy of account records.
- Prepare and organize surprise petty cash verifications in branches.
- Assist the Manager, Budget & Treasury in verifying supporting documents and preparing payments.
- Ensure all payments and expenses are justified and properly supported with complete documentation.
- Ensure daily recording of all payments and expenses in the financial system.
- Prepare and declare all taxes and other legal deductions in line with Rwandan tax law and other relevant laws.
- Perform any other duties related to the Treasury function as may be assigned from time to time.
Key Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate must have at least:
- Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration (with specialization in Finance or Accounting), Commerce, or any other relevant field with at least 2 years of relevant experience. OR
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Commerce, or any other relevant field with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
