Job Purpose:

Reporting to the I.S Audit Manager, the IS Auditor will give objective and independent assurance to management that the Information systems in place are appropriate, well utilized, reliable and secure while giving commensurate recommendations on areas of improvement.

Main Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities are:

• Be part of the Audit Team in performing Information Systems audits, both technical and end-user across BPR Bank Rwanda in line with Internal Audit Methodology, processes, procedures, and timeframes.
• Giving an assurance that access to electronically stored corporate information is adequately protected and managed appropriate to the risks.
• Identify and analyze level of threat and potential risk to the bank’s I.S assets.
• Test adequacy and effectiveness of systems controls,
• Recommend corrective measures to be undertaken in areas of weaknesses.-
• Make maximum use of Computer Assisted Audit Tools e.g., Teammate, IDEA or any other automation
• tool used by the Audit department.
• Performance of special Audits as and when called upon.
• Develop and maintain the skills, knowledge, and expertise to make valuable contribution to the Internal Audit team.
• To execute the scheduled I.S Audits assignments.
• To assist the audit team with the data mining and developing queries.
• To manage the audit team in the field when assigned as Team leader.
• To get daily updates on information technology regulations and emerging trends.
• To prepare and submit the internal and regulatory reports according to their frequency.

Educational qualifications and work experience:

Educational qualifications and work experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Related field.
• Professional Qualifications in Python Language, Data Science. And network Infrastructure Security is an added advantage
• Minimum 3 years (3) years of experience in Audit, IT and General Banking
