Smart Retails Ltd,

is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with strong financial management and auditing expertise to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will oversee accounting operations, ensure compliance, support strategic financial decision-making, and improving internal controls. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

The following are Key Responsibilities for this position

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual).
  • Manage accounts payable/receivable, sales, expenditures, payroll, and general ledger entries.
  • Regular reconciliation of the company’s bank statements, sales reports and bookkeeping ledgers.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to produce full set of Financial Reports monthly as per Company requirements.
  • Ensure the Company's Tax Returns and other compliance reports are processed, filed and paid in a timely manner.
  • Lead internal and external audit processes, ensuring adherence to accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
  • Manage internal and external audit for the company, ensuring auditors have all information and clarifications required to complete an accurate audit.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks through robust internal controls.
  • Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth audits.
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
  • Monitor expenditures and provide cost-saving recommendations.
  • Streamline accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement best practices in financial reporting and audit readiness.

Requirements

The following are Required qualifications for this position

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/ACCA preferred).
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in auditing.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP ERP, Odoo) and advanced Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax laws, and audit procedures.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, time management and leadership skills.
