Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical condition, mobility, and functional needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the rehabilitation team.
- Design, measure, fabricate, fit, and adjust prosthetic limbs and orthotic devices.
- Provide gait training and educate patients on the proper use and care of prosthetic and orthotic devices.
- Perform repairs, modifications, and maintenance of assistive devices.
- Monitor patients' progress and make adjustments to devices as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records, clinical documentation, and treatment reports.
- Work collaboratively with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure patient safety and infection prevention during clinical and workshop procedures.
- Manage workshop materials, tools, and equipment.
- Participate in research, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing professional development.
- Supervise and mentor students, interns, and junior staff when assigned.
- Promote rehabilitation services and educate patients, families, and communities about prosthetic and orthotic care.
Qualifications
Are:
- Diploma (A1) in Prostheric
- 3 Years of relevant experience
- Advanced Diploma (A1) in Orthotics
- 3 Years of relevant experience
- Advanced Diploma in Othopedic Technology
- 3 Years of relevant experience
